YourMotherhood (Video Results Ltd) (the “Company” / “we” / “our” / “us”) respects the privacy concerns of the users of its website, YourMotherhood.com and the services provided therein (the “Site”). The Company provides this privacy statement to explain what information is gathered during a visit to the Site and how such information may be used.

About Us: Video Results Ltd is a registered company in England under company number 04905417 whose registered office is at 5 Cornfield Terrace, Eastbourne BN21 4NN.  We are the data controller in respect of your personal data.  This means that we are responsible for deciding how we hold and use personal data about you.

 

Use of Information: We collect personal data so that we can operate effectively and provide you with the best possible service. The information we collect depends on the context of your interactions with our Site and how you use our services. It also depends on the choices you make, for example the functions you use and your privacy settings. You may choose not to provide certain information but if you do, and that information is necessary to provide a particular feature, then you may not be able to use that feature. We will only use your personal data where we have a valid lawful basis to do so. 

 

As a general policy, your name, address, or e-mail address, is not automatically collected from your visit to the Site. However, certain information is recorded by the standard operation of the Company’s internet servers. Information such as the type of browser being used, its operating system, and your IP address is gathered in order to enhance your online experience. The table below summarises in greater detail what information we collect about you in certain circumstances, explains how we intend to use it and what our legal basis is for using it.

Personally identifiable information is never sold or leased to any third parties.

 

Marketing: If you are a user of our services and acting on behalf of a business, a company or a corporate body we will send marketing communications.  The basis for this processing is justified under legitimate interests. If you are a user of our services who is an individual, a sole trader or a partner of an unlimited liability partnership, with your permission, we may use your contact information to send you information about our Company and our services. We will only do this if you have provided us with your consent which may be when you registered your account or when you placed an order with us.

 

Both corporate and individual users may always opt-out of receiving future mailings as provided below. The Company does not store any credit card information it may receive in regard to a specific transaction and/or billing arrangement except as necessary to complete and satisfy its rights and obligations with regard to such transaction, billing arrangement, and/or as otherwise authorised by a user.

 

Sharing your information: Personally identifiable information is never sold or leased to any third parties, however you acknowledge that we may share your personal data with your consent or as necessary with selected third party service providers that support us in the performance of the activities set out in the table above.

We may also share your personal data with other third parties, for example in the context of the possible sale or restructuring of the business.

 

The Company may disclose user information in special cases when we have reason to believe that disclosing this information is necessary to identify, contact or bring legal action against someone who may be causing injury to or interference (either intentionally or unintentionally) with the Company’s rights or property, other users of the Site, or anyone else that could be harmed by such activities.

 

We require all our third party service providers to take appropriate and stringent security measures to protect your personal data in line with our policies. We do not allow our third party service providers to use your personal data for their own purposes and only permit them to process your personal data for specified purposes in accordance with our instructions.

 

Which third party service providers process my personal data?  The following third party service providers process personal data about you for the following purposes:

  • Google Analytics (user behaviour analysis)

  • Kartra (cookie services)

  • Teachable (online learning platform)

We use Google Analytics to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our Site.  Client data is stored on Google G-Drive and Google Mail.

 

Children Age 13 and Under: The Company recognises the special obligation to protect personally identifiable information obtained from children age 13 and under. AS SUCH, IF YOU ARE 13 YEARS OLD OR YOUNGER, THE COMPANY REQUESTS THAT YOU NOT SUBMIT ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION TO THE SITE OR TO THE COMPANY. If the Company discovers that a child age 16 or younger has signed up on the Site or provided us with personally identifiable information, we will delete that child’s identifiable information from our records.

 

The Company nonetheless encourages parents to go online with their kids. Here are a few tips to help make a child’s online experience safer:

  1. Teach kids never to give personal information, unless supervised by a parent or responsible adult. Includes name, address, phone, school, etc.

  2. Know the sites your kids are visiting and which sites are appropriate.

  3. Look for Website privacy policies. Know how your child’s information is treated.

Use of Cookies: Cookies are pieces of information that a website transfers to an individual’s computer hard drive for record keeping purposes. We use this information to track visitor use of the Site and to compile statistical reports on site activity. Bulletin Boards and Chat Areas: Guests of the Site are solely responsible for the content of messages they post on the Company’s forums, such as chat rooms and bulletin boards. Users should be aware that when they voluntarily disclose personal information (e.g., user name, e-mail address, phone number) on the bulletin boards or in the chat areas, that information can be collected and used by others and may result in unsolicited messages from other people. You are responsible for the personal information you choose to submit in these instances. Please take care when using these features.

 

Choice/Opt-Out: We have a duty to process personal data fairly, lawfully and in a manner that you would expect given the nature of our relationship with you. Where we have a legal basis to use your personal data without consent (as set out in the table above), this policy fulfils that duty by giving you appropriate notice and explanation of the way in which your personal data will be used.   Where consent is the legal basis for us to use your personal data, the Site will provide you the opportunity to positively opt-in and provide your consent, for example, to receive communications from us we will ask for your consent at the point where we request information about you. You always have the option of removing your name from any e-mail list in order to discontinue any such future communications. In order to ensure immediate removal from any list, please follow the specific instructions set forth within the communications you receive from the Company which you no longer wish to receive. Change of Purpose: We will only use your personal data for the purposes for which we collected it, unless we reasonably consider that we need to use it for another reason and that reason is compatible with the original purpose. Please note that we may process your personal data without your knowledge or consent, in compliance with the above rules, where this is required or permitted by law.

 

Storing your information:  The personal data that we hold about you will be processed and stored within the European Economic Area (EEA).  We may at times need to transfer your personal data outside the EEA. If we do so we will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your personal data receives an adequate level of protection and is treated in a way consistent with EU and UK laws on data protection.

 

We may transfer the personal data we collect about you to Canada and Australia in order to perform our contract with you. There is not an adequacy decision by the European Commission in respect of those countries. This means that the countries to which we transfer your personal data are not deemed to provide an adequate level of protection for your personal data.

 

To ensure that your personal data does receive an adequate level of protection we have put in place appropriate measures to ensure that your personal data are treated by those third parties in a way that is consistent with and which respects the EU and UK laws on data protection, including contractual agreements to meet EU-approved data protection obligations.  If you require further information about this protective measure, you can request it from our Data Privacy Manager.

 

Retaining information: We will only retain your personal data for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting or reporting obligations.  For example, we may need to retain some of your personal data for 6 years after you have made a purchase from us for legal reasons. Unless we inform you otherwise (or you request that we erase your personal data) we will retain your personal data for as long as you continue to use the Site. If you do not use the Site for 6 years then we will delete your information. In some circumstances we may anonymise your personal data so that it can no longer be associated with you, in which case we may use such information without further notice to you.

Security: Security for all personally identifiable information is extremely important to us. Unfortunately, no data transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, while we strive to protect your personal information, The Company cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit via the internet. By transmitting any such information to the Company, you accept that you do so at your own risk.

 

Passwords: You are responsible for keeping confidential any passwords that you have to access our services.  Please do not share your passwords with anyone else. If you lose control of your password you may lose control over your personal data. However, we may charge a reasonable fee if your request for access is manifestly unfounded or excessive. Alternatively, we may refuse to comply with the request in such circumstances.

 

What we may need from you: We may need to request specific information from you to help us confirm your identity and ensure your right to access the information (or to exercise any of your other rights). This is another appropriate security measure to ensure that personal data are not disclosed to any person who has no right to receive it.

 

Right to withdraw consent: In the limited circumstances where we are relying on your consent as the legal basis to process your personal data for a particular purpose, you have the right to withdraw your consent for that specific processing at any time. To withdraw your consent, please contact our Data Privacy Manager.  Once we know that you have withdrawn your consent, we will no longer process your information for the purpose or purposes you originally agreed to, unless we have another legitimate basis for doing so in law.
